I was in a job that wasn't all that stressful in its own right. But I felt myself suddenly having difficulty coping with day-to-day challenges, so I got help:
- I went to a "functional medicine" doctor who advised a paleo diet for a few months which removed foods that caused physical stress.
- I found herbal solutions to support my adrenal glands, helping me to build my reserves back up (I'm happy to share details with anyone who is interested).
- I sought help from a therapist who recommended this book about resolving unconscious patterns that are rooted in past mini-traumas as well as major ones.
It took a couple of weeks to start feeling better and a couple of months to stabilize, but the combination worked!
